Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle recently made a stop in Evans County as he was passing through southeast Georgia recently.
Cagle mingled with the crowd at the Veteran’s Center in Hagan for about an hour before taking to the podium for a brief speech. Claxton Mayor Terry Branch introduced Cagle to the crowd and Senator Jack Hill was present in support as well as Representative Bill Werkheiser.
Evans County Commission Chair Jill Griffin, Commissioner Gary Bell, former Commissioner James Pinkard, and state Senator from Augusta Lee Anderson were also in attendance.
Cagle stayed after the meet&greet for a lunch with the Rotary Club of Evans County.
Cagle has already announced his bid for Georgia Governor in the 2018 election. He joins Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Senators Hunter Hill and Michael Williams, State Representatives Stacey Abrams and Stacy Evans, and Libertarian candidate Doug Craig.
