“Waitress pulls gun on robbers as innocent diners sit inside Georgia Waffle House.” That’s the headline seen around the state after a waitress took it upon herself to challenge three men who were robbing the all-day breakfast joint in the wee hours of the night.

Three men went into a Newnan Waffle House in Coweta County. After sitting for a few minutes, one of them approached the counter and threatened to shoot every one in the restaurant if the register wasn’t emptied.

The suspects gave an employee a note that said to “give him all of the money or he will shoot you and everyone in here,” WGCL reported.

$200 was handed over, but another employee went to her car during the debacle and retrieved her gun. She even fired a shot as they were leaving, but no one was hurt.

The Waffle House had reportedly been robbed several times in recent months.

The three men are still on the loose.
