Armstrong State University (ASU) in Savannah was ranked 9th by the Military Times 10 Best Cybersecurity Programs List.

ASU has over 30 industry certifications aligning to the requirements for the Department of Defense requirements and the National Cyber Workforce Framework.  ASU also received recognition by the Military Times as a college Best for Vets College List. In 2015, ASU received honors as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency.

Currently, there is a memorandum of understanding between ASU and U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Ft. Gordon, Ga which serves as an academic partner to provide cybersecurity education to civilians, contractors, and soldiers. ASU’s Cybersecurity education division is part of the university’s Department of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Jeremy has served as a education policy analyst for local legislators and state education leaders as well as a campaign strategist for local and statewide political campaigns.

Jeremy grew up in rural Southern Georgia and he has served as a healthcare provider, high school science teacher, and a state education official.  Jeremy holds degrees in science and education from the University of Georgia, Piedmont College, and Valdosta State University. He and his wife have lived in Camden County for 16 years and they have two teenage children. Jeremy and his family attend Christ Church Camden in Kingsland, GA.
